The SDV system is designed to reduce
the oscillations and assure a perfect control of the motions.

The SDV system reduces boom oscillation by means of a throttle that controls the response time of the spool in the lifting cylinder counterbalance valve; the throttle regulates the speed at which the spool closes.

The outcome is a smoother descent stop and minimal oscillations.
